Introduction

Osolas Science & Engineering Co., Ltd. Was founded by Y.J. Lin in 1986. Dr. Lin received his Ph.D. in Hydrodynamics from Tokyo University in 1980.

Oinitially, in 1986 the company was a major supplier of bronze propellers to the builders of yachts, small craft, and commercial and military vessels in Taiwan. Solas is the only privately owned Taiwan-based company approved as a supplier of propellers to the ROC Navy's patrol boats.

Oin 1987, Solas expanded its product line capabilities to include stainless steel propellers for industrial use and jet pump impellers for OEM and after market use, producing them in our newly established casting foundry and machining facility located in Taichung, Taiwan.

Oin 1989 due to the overwhelming acceptance of the original Solas designed and manufactured jet pump impellers by OEMs, as well as professional racers and end-users, Solas further expanded its product line to include outboard and stern drive propellers.
