Introduction

Athe Sun Moon Star Group (SMS) was founded in 1945 by H.H. Weng as a trading company dealing in large machinery, tools, and electronic components. Trade was eventually expanded to include central office telecommunications equipment.

Sun Moon Star rapidly became the largest private supplier to the ROC's telephone administration.

The present character of the company can be traced to 1973 when an electronics facility was opened under the newly formed Vidar manufacturing division.

Awithin two decades Sun Moon Star had developed into an international and multi-faceted company with close to 20 subsidiaries. We are involved in six major industries:
