Introduction

Mmicrotek International Inc. was founded in 1980 in the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park, Taiwan. We have major operations in Taiwan, Japan, the U.S. and Germany. The name Microtek has become synonymous with quality worldwide. Microtek has three major research enters around the world and devotes an average of 10% annual operating revenues and 20% of its work force to R&D.

Mmicrotek's product lines include the award-

winning ScanMaker series of color image scanners and Microtek In-Circuit Emulators (MICE). As the world's leading manufacturer of desktop image scanners, Microtek has been winning awards for its optical scanning technology since announcing the world's first affordable desktop scanner in 1984. The poplarity of Microtek's comprehensive scanner line has assured the company a major share of the world color scanner market.

Mmicrotek also introduced the world's first cost-effective, PC-compatible, stand-alone in-circuit emulator in 1981, and the world's first development system for the 32-bit 68020 microprocessor in 1985. Since then, Microtek has built its installed base of in-circuit emulators to over 30,000 units, ranking it among the top-three emulator manufacturers in the world.
