Gathering exhibitors of various green technologies, robotic arms, smart machinery and many others to offer great visitor experience in robots and logistic solutions, Kaohsiung Industrial Automation Exhibition 2016 (KIAE 2016) proved a resounding success again, after recognized as the only platform for manufacturing industries in Taiwan’s southern region. Taking advantage of high clustering density of local manufacturers from various traditional manufacturing sectors, including plastics, auto parts and electronics, most of who being accommodated in specific industrial and science parks, KIEA witnessed all its exhibitor booths sold out for the third consecutive year in the 2016 edition, and attracted over 38,000 visitors during its four-day run, to have generated on-spot and post-show business opportunities estimated at NT$150 million and NT$1.2 billion, respectively. To enable its economic growth to gain steam from Industrie 4.0, the Taiwanese government has actively assisted some of local industries, including intelligent equipment and machinery, to upgrade and innovate as its industry upgrading policy. To keep up with the abovementioned trends, KIAE 2017, scheduled Apr. 21-24 at Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, will again host exhibitors from related industries, and feature 11 special exhibition areas, namely Machine Tools, Industrial Machines & Equipment, Automatic Testing, Hardware/Accessories/Components, Defense & Aerospace, Green Technology, Smart Machine and Theme Area of Associations, to build positive links between Taiwanese suppliers and global buyers.
