| Black-faced Spoonbills (scientific name: Platalea Minor) are an extremely rare bird variety around the world, and have been classified as near-extinction protected animals, and Taiwan has been the largest wintering grounds for Black-faced Spoonbills. In October to the following April every year, the rare visitors that migrated thousands of miles accounted for more than two-thirds of its world populations. The bird’s elegant flight further earns it the reputation as a black-faced dancer. |
