Zimmer Group Promotes Multiple-purpose Robotic Arm System

Zimmer Group, a world-caliber robot maker from Germany and enjoying a high profile with its advanced automation technology, has launched its newly developed "MATCH" series, a multifunctional robotic end-of-arm platform, with an intent to continue to lead the industry.

The "MATCH" series can be incorporated with various mechanical gripper jaws produced by Zimmer Group, and is applicable to robotic arms and industrial robots developed on the concept of human-robot collaboration.

Understanding that robot's flexibility is key to enhancing production efficiency, Zimmer Group insists a robotic arm that can meet market demand in the near future should be able to handle different tasks when processing a workpiece, simply through switching end effectors automatically. In addition, the German-based company also believes that standardized modules make for simplifcation of workflow by equipment suppliers and system integrators.

Developed in the abovementioned logic, the MATCH series not only allows a robot to change end-effectors automatically, but also enables different robots and automation systems to drive the same sucker or gripper. Making all of this possible is a key component, the standerd MATCH robot module, which can be used in most common robotic arms in the market.
