Hon Hai's Single-Month Nov. Revenue Breaks NT$500 Bn. First Time
2014/12/15 | By Steve ChuangDue to the hot-selling iPhone 6 series, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., world's biggest EMS (electronics manufacturing service) firm by size and the major iPhone contract supplier, saw its single-month consolidated revenue break the NT$500 billion (US$16.67 billion) mark for the first time, to NT$514.7 billion (US$17.15 billion) in November, according to its latest financial report.
The encouraging revenue result represents a 10% growth compared to October, or nearly 13% over last November, to which Hon Hai attributes largely strong shipments of tablets and smartphones.
For the first 11 months of this year, its consolidated revenue totaled NT$3.7 trillion (US$123.33 billion), up 6.8% year-on-year and including NT$983.8 billion (US$32.79 billion) scored October to November.
With iPhone 6 still reportedly popular and achieving cult status globally, institutional investors generally believe the company's total revenue for Q4 to near NT$1.5 trillion (US$50 billion), surging 55% from Q3.
Hence Hon Hai is expected to finish 2014 with consolidated revenue of around NT$4.2 trillion (US$140 billion), up 7.6% from 2013 to maintain the strong growth momentum through Q1, 2015. (SC)
