Makalot Sees 27.4% Growth in Profits in First 8 Months

2014/09/25 | By Judy Li

The Makalot Industrial Co., Taiwan's leading garment maker, recently announced that its profit for the first eight months of 2014 reached NT$1.375 billion (US$45.83 million), for an annual growth of 27.4%, yielding earnings per share (EPS) of NT$7.96 (US$0.27).

In the same period the company's revenues came to NT$2.035 billion (US$67.83 million), up a sharp 30% from the corresponding months of last year.

Makalot's third-quarter revenues are expected to see an annual increase of over 30%, as the third quarter is usually a hot season for garment shipments, and gross profits are likely to see a quarterly growth of more than 20%.

It is believed that Makalot's brand clients in Japan and the U.S. will be the major driving force for the company's growth in the second half of this year and in 2015. (JL)
