Record Exhibitors at Spring HK Lighting Fair Display Smart Lighting

A record of more than 1,000 exhibitors from 13 economies will attend the April 6-9 run of the Spring Edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair 2014, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.

For the first time, exhibitors from Malaysia and Jiangmen of China will set up group pavilions at the Spring show.

Some 12 Taiwanese exhibitors have signed up for 15 booths at the show with China Economic News Service (CENS), Taiwan's exclusive promoter of the show contracted by HKTDC. These exhibitors include Jen Cheng Lighting Business Group, Rooster Lighting Co., Ltd., MuStar Lighting Corp., Chief Mate Products Corp., Next Generation Lighting Source Co., Ltd. (NGLS), Shining Blick Enterprise Co., Ltd., Acrox Inc., Mirror King Enterprise Co., Ltd., Sunjin International Co., Ltd., Alder Optomechanical Corp., and CPSI System International, Asia, Co., Ltd.

This year's show is divided into a variety of zones, including Hall of Aurora, World of LED & Green Lighting, Business of IP Zone, Commercial Lighting, Decorative Lighting, Display World, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, Technical & Outdoor Lighting, Trade Services and Publications and World of Chandeliers, Avenue of Inspiration, and Small Order Zone, with the latter two being first-time additions.

Lighting experts from business and trade associations will discuss the latest technology developments and product development trends at Asian Lighting Forum 2014, to be held April 6 and divided into two sessions—“Global Market Trends on Lighting Product Development” and “LED Technology Advancements & Applications.”

Also, seminars will be held to address the topics “Lighting Design Trend: Fashion & Function” and “Solutions to Ensuring Lighting Products' Quality: Accredited Testing and Certification Service for the Industry.”

A networking reception will be held along with the 7th Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition Award Presentation Ceremony, which are organized for industry players from around the world to network and to appreciate new innovations in product design. Under the theme Blossom Blooms, award contestants are inspired to blend aesthetic impressions while emphasizing originality and functionality to showcase vibrancy and liveliness of spring through innovative lighting designs. The winning designs will be on display at the Display Area in Hall 1 C Concourse during the fair.

Also staged during the fair are Buyer Forums and Exhibitor Forum, with the former addressing business opportunities in both developed and emerging markets while the latter focusing on exhibitors who present new and innovative green products. (KL)
