CENS Takes Part in Two Global Trade Shows in December 2013

Due to the Christmas break in  many global markets, CENS attended only two international trade shows in December 2013 to help advertising clients promote products globally, including Plast Eurasia Istanbul and Automechanika Shanghai.

Due to the high production & labor costs in the European plastics industry, new investments in machinery, chemicals, raw materials, sub-industries have been steering towards Turkey with its technical infrastructure and logistic advantages, helping to build Plastic Eurasia Istanbul into a major plastic trade event in Eurasia to generate rising interest.

Organized by Tuyap, in cooperation with PAGEV (Turkish Plastics Industry Foundation), Plast Eurasia Istanbul 2013 was held December 5-8 at Tuyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, Istanbul. Hosting 1084 companies from 40 countries in nine halls in an area of 90,000 square meters, the fair was among the prime trade events of the plastics industry with its international qualification.

As is now commonly seen in  international plastics trade shows throughout the year, Plastic Eurasia Istanbul 2013 had national pavilions from China, Iran, and Taiwan, also having hosted buyer delegations from Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Macedonia, Moldova, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tunisia, and Ukraine.

The fair displayed a wide range of products, machines and current technologies including plastics machinery, chemicals, raw materials, machinery auxiliary, heat & control equipment, mould, hydraulic & pneumatic, etc. The four-day event attracted over 40,000 visitors from 82 countries.

The CENS booth displayed a variety of its publications, with Taiwan Machinery, CENS Hardware, Guidebook to Taiwan Hand Tools, and Taiwan Industrial Suppliers being very popular.

Automechanika Shanghai
Automechanika Shanghai is a major trade fair for the automotive aftermarket. The 2013 Automechanika Shanghai, held Decembr10-13 at the Shanghai new International Expo Center, Pudong, China, spotlighted innovations and solutions in parts, systems, turning, workshop equipment, bodywork & paintwork, car wash, IT & management, and the latest automotive services.

The four-day event set once more a new record of 4,618 exhibitors from 38 countries. Commenting on the record number of exhibitors Jason Cao, senior general manager of Mess Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. said : “We are now the second biggest Automechanika show in the world. We have seen a 15% rise in international exhibitors based on 523 international exhibitors in 2013 and 453 for the show in 2012. In terms of Chinese exhibitor, we have 4,095 that represents an increase of 12% matched against the 3,656 exhibitors of the last one.”

The total exhibition area of 210,000 square meters housed 17 established halls and seven temporary halls, revealing increases in square meter percentages compared to the 2012 show, with parts & components showing 10% increase, repair & maintenance 20% increase and accessories & tuning 100% increase.

Altogether the 2013 show attracted 17 national pavilions with first time pavilions from Australia, Poland and Tunisia. And the returning pavilions were from France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom and the United States.

The show also attracted regular key brands such as Gates, Unitta, Hitachi, IBI, Stabilus, BorgWarner, Bosch, Chery, China Changan, Continental, Automotive, Dayco, Dongfeng, Great Wall, Berton, Hennessy, Stanley, Donghao, Osram, Philips, Spacekey, etc.

The four-day event drew more than 80,000 visitors from all over the world with group visitors from Australia, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand,  Poland, and Turkey.

CENS promoted a variety of buyer guides that attracted both visitors and buyers, with Taiwan Transportation Equipment (TTG), China Transportation Equipment Guide (CTG), Guidebook to Taiwan Hand Tools, and Taiwan Industrial Suppliers catching ample attention.
