TPCA Show Running at Taipei World Trade Center

Taipei, Oct. 25, 2012 (CENS)--The Taiwan Printed Circuit Association Show 2012 (TPCA Show 2012) opened yesterday for a three-day run at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall, attracting over 315 manufacturers to exhibit their latest products at 1,250 booths and an estimated 27,000 PCB pros to attend, according to the association.

In spite of the lingering European debt crisis and other economic uncertainties, 7% more booths are registered at this show this year than last year, suggesting rising confidence among the Taiwanese manufacturers about business outlook of next year.

TPCA Chairman Simon Chen pointed out that Taiwan is already the world's No.1 PCB producer by revenue, with annual output value estimated at US$17.2 billion this year. Worldwide, the industry is projected to generate total revenue of US$61.3 billion this year.

He pointed out that with Taiwan's PCB might, TPCA Show is already ranked the world's No.2 of its kind.

Chen pointed out that eco friendliness is one of the primary themes of the show this year, notably featured by the process of recycling copper wastes generated during the manufacturing.

Other themes are PCB, electronics assembly, thermal management, laser application, and electronics packaging. For the first time, machine tool makers specializing in CNC PCB-drilling machines are invited to display their technologies at this show.

Technology workshops are arranged on the sideline of this show, including those addressing electronics components, intelligent technologies and consumer products.
