HTC's One X and One S Remain on Krusell's List of 10 Best-selling Smartphones for July
2012/08/21 | By Steve ChuangTaipei, Aug. 21, 2012 (CENS)--Although failing to drive up HTC's market shares as expected earlier since their launch, the One X and One S, the Taiwanese smartphone brand vendor's flagship models for sale in 2012, remained on the 10 best-selling smartphone list issued by Krusell, a global supplier of carrying cases for mobile devices, for July.
In the Krusell's top 10 smartphone rankings for July, One X and One S ranked No.6 and No.7, respectively, advancing three notches and falling one from the same rankings publicized a month earlier. This somehow points to the possibility that HTC's global sales decline perhaps has been improving.
In the meantime, Samsung's Galaxy S3 and Apple's iPhone 4 (including 4S edition) were still the best two sellers in the rankings in July, while Sony's Xperia S ranked No.3. Worth mentioning is that Sony had three more models on the top 10 list, namely Xperia U, Xperia Go and Xperia Arc/Arc S, which took the No.4, No.8 and No.10 spot, respectively.
Market observers said that Sony made the most significant progress among the brands in terms of sales in July, which can be reflected by the fact that the Japanese brand had a total of four brands, ranging from entry-level to middle and high-end level, on Krusell's 10 best-selling smartphone list.
Krusell predicts that Samsung's Galaxy S3 is expected to keep holding its leading status in August by sales volume worldwide, but may probably be unseated by the upcoming iPhone 5 in the future.
