Taipei, Feb. 2, 2012 (CENS)--Semlima Industrial Co., Ltd., one of Taiwan's leading manufacturers of stitching machines, has recently debuted a computerized water-jet cutter. Founded in 1979, Semlima is known for specializing in the development and production of outsole and shoe-border stitching machines in Taiwan.

Over the past several years, the company has heavily invested in cultivating and training professionals to focus on high-tier machines, backed by an entire production line that is computerized with improved engineering structure. Thanks to its long-term dedication to developing multi-functional products, the company has won many awards and honors from the Ministry of Economic Affairs with over 30 patents from Japan, South Korea, the U.S. and China, with major clients as Nike, Adidas, Skechers and Puma.

The newly developed water-jet cutter measures 3000 x 3310 x 2182mm, with a 1000 x 750mm worktable, and 50mm in cutting thickness, with a computer adjustable Z-axis.

Capable of cutting tiles, the machine is suitable for cutting leather, carbon fiber, composites, rubber, plastics, foams, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), and fiberglass.

The company uses an imported, automatic computerized machine for heat treatment to achieve stable production, with all materials being imported from Europe, America and Japan.

Henry Yang, general manager of Semlima, says the company has an 80% share in the Southeast Asian market, and the company's services start when a customer develops a new shoe.
