Takken Comprehensive Industrial Co., Ltd., founded in 1973, is a member of the Morrison Group. In the initial stage of its establishment, the company set up a plant in Taoyuan County of northern Taiwan to produce stainless steel watchcases.

Since 1980 when the second plant was established, the company has got involved in the production of cylinders and processing of seamless steel tubes. In 2002, the company set up a special vehicle department to produce garbage trucks, and trucks for resource recovery as well as other special vehicles.

At present, the company's major product lines include precision honed tubes, piston rods, hydraulic/air cylinders, and special vehicles, which are made of stainless steel, steel tube/rod/pipe.

The JIS/ISO9001-certified firm says it is capable of developing special products to meet the requirements of customers from around the world. Its products are mainly exported on the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) basis. At present, the company's annual sales reach US$5 million.

In addition to domestic market, the company has exported its products to such markets as China, Southeast Asia, the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and has built up solid reputation among customers, particularly in mainly industrialized nations. (BS)
