Once again the HKTDC will be showing global lighting buyers that the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) is the best venue to find the latest technologies and designs from many top, global suppliers. Held Oct. 27 through 30, the 2009 edition is expected to attract 1,572 exhibitors from 33 countries, making this event the largest of its kind in Asia, and the second biggest globally.
New for 2009 is the Hall of Aurora that spotlights high-end, branded lighting. Also sure to captivate attention is the LED Lighting and Green Lighting zones. Also appearing are Household Lighting, Commercial Lighting, Outdoor Lighting, Lighting Accessories, Parts & Components, as well as Lighting Management, Design & Technology zones.
Hall of Aurora is a new zone for branded lighting, focusing on suppliers that are building brand awareness.
The LED Lighting zone has suppliers specializing in new-design capabilities, durability, energy-efficiency and color variety in LEDs.
Probably the biggest guiding light in the industry right now is environmental awareness, an issue that will be fully addressed in the Green Lighting zone.
Inspiring Through Competition
The fair will also see the staging of the 3rd Hong Kong Lighting Design Competition, with the finalist entries of the Student and Open groups-to be themed "Eco-Glow"-on display during the fair.
