Taipei, June 12, 2009 (CENS)--At the ongoing 11th International Flat Panel Display Exposition (Display Taiwan 2009), Chunghwa Picture Tubes, Ltd. (CPT), the third-largest thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) panel maker on the island, is showing its latest products in various applications from small to large sizes.

The FPD show is being held from June 10 to 12 at Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) Exhibition Hall in Taipei, where CPT is exhibiting 3D & Touch technology, TV & Monitor application, Notebook & Netbook application, and Portable application.

Showing its 3D and touch technology achievements such as 15.4-inch 2D/3D switchable notebook PC module, CPT is also exhibiting its Taiwan Excellence Awards-winning 37-inch multi-depth 3D display module, and a 26-inch multi-depth 3D display monitor. To underline its leading position in 3D technology, CPT set up a 3D TV wall that combines nine 37-inch panels to increase viewing impact with a giant 111-inch screen.

For TV and monitor applications, CPT is showcasing 31.5-inch modular light-guide panel (LGP) for LED TV with two types of technologies, including side edge backlight module and direct-light type.

The panel maker also showcases its 17-inch high-contrast ratio displays, which add polymers into liquid crystal molecules. CPT said that the protrusion-free structure has the advantage to improve contrast ratio to 5000 and speed up gray-to-gray response time.

Another notebook application being displayed by CPT is the 14-inch ultra-low power panel that reduces power consumption.

For portable application, the company also showcases its 8.9-inch color-management module with color shift compensation, which automatically eliminates color shift.
