Established in 1986, Fuh Shyan Co., Ltd. has been a professional manufacturer of office chair components, including casters, armrests, chair backs, brackets, mechanism, and seat pans. The firm can provide customers with quality products at reasonable prices

"Most of our products have passed advanced office furniture testing by the U.S.-based BIFMA Test Lab, and some have been patented either at home or abroad, or both," says Vicky Liu, the company's manager. The products are made of such main materials as mainly polypropylene (PP) and nylon fiber, which are purchased from the petrochemical plants in Taiwan.

Today Fuh Shyan operates two plants, one in Taiwan and the other in Thailand. The products turned out at the Taiwan plant are 100% exported and those produced at the Thailand plant are sold locally. "The products made at our Taiwan plant are exported globally, with the U.K., the Middle East and the countries in Southeast Asia as major outlets, " Liu adds.

Currently the company delivers around 25-30 containers per month, and rolls out new products almost every year. In 2003 the company set up a molding service department to offer fast online services to its customers. With a strong R & D team and skillful specialists, the company is capable of handling any special orders in addition to those OEM and ODM ones.

Thanks to continued efforts in upgrading products, the company has sustained a pool of loyal clients and enjoyed stable annual sales growth of about 10% over the past several years. The firm scored revenues of NT$160 million (US$5 million at US$1 = NT$32) in 2008, but the revenue performance for 2008 may be influenced by the global economic recession. Nevertheless, it plans to display its newly developed products at the China International Furniture Fair to be held in Guangzhou in March 2009. (JL)
