CNC machining centers

Founded in 2003 in central Taiwan, Campro Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. is a young company with a highly experienced management team, specializing in the development and production of CNC horizontal lathes, CNC vertical machining centers and other kinds of machine tools. The company sells most of its machines under the "Campro" brand, but it also welcomes OEM orders from abroad.

Campro currently offers four models of CNC horizontal lathes and seven models of CNC vertical machining centers, says company president Tsai Ching-tse. The company is capable of turning out 15 up to 20 CNC machine tools in Taiwan and another 12 in mainland China per month. Unit price of the company's CNC machine tools is as much as US$55,000. The machining centers supplied by Campro boast X-axis travel of 900mm to 2,200mm. The 900mm X-axis travel model is its most popular item.

In the first quarter of this year, the company unveiled three new models: CQV high-performance vertical machining center), CMV (high-speed mold making vertical machining center), and CPL (slant-bed type CNC precision lathe). These models offer premium performance and can obviously promote the competitive advantage of its clients.

The company's CQV-series high-performance vertical machining center, equipped with spindle of 10,000rpm, features 1100x560x 560mm in X, Y, Z-axis travel. Distance from spindle nose to table surface ranges from 110mm up to 670mm and that from spindle center to column surface reaches 630mm.

The base of the machine is reinforced by A-type rib layout to upgrade absorption capability of vibration and is constructed of a box-type structure for excellent rigidity. The machine structure is designed via Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and advanced three-dimensional software.

In December 2008, the company relocated production lines to a new factory of 12,000 square meters in the Central Taiwan Science Park. The company says the modern factory will help it develop more sophisticated machine tools in the years to come.

Campro will showcase its latest machinery models at the i428 booth of the TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall of the 2009 Taipei International Machine Tool Show slated for March 2-7. (BS)
