Taipei, Aug. 6, 2008 (CENS)--E-Ton Solar Tech saw revenue grow 14.5% in July from a month earlier, scoring the highest growth pace among Taiwan`s manufacturers of solar-energy products.
In the meantime, Gintech Energy Corp. rose 10.40%, followed by Green Energy Technology Inc.`s 3.85% and Motech Industrial Inc.`s 1.81%.
Throughout the first seven months of this year, all of the four manufacturers enjoyed revenue growth exceeding 100% from the same period of last year, with Gintech scoring the highest increase at 195.8%.
E-Ton`s revenue came to NT$7.06 billion (US$235 million at US$1:NT$30) in the Jan.-July period, shooting up 154.6% year on year. In July, its revenue was NT$1.5 billion (US$50 million). The company saw its monthly revenue post a double-digit growth over the past three consecutive months until July.
Industry watchers ascribed E-Ton`s stellar growth pace mostly to smooth supply of materials by its strategic partner M.Setek of Japan. The Japanese supplier has filled over 50% of E-Ton`s needs, up from below 30% in first quarter this year.
Gintech scored revenue of NT$1.6 billion (US$53 million) in July and NT$9.2 billion (US$308 million) in the first seven months this year. Making NT$7.39 per share in first half this year, the company is the most profitable maker of solar-energy products on the island.
Green Energy, a silicon-ingot maker, raked in revenue of NT$810 million (US$27 million) in July. Throughout the first seven months the company scored revenue of NT$5 billion (US$167 million), soaring 132.5% year on year.
