Danaher Tool Group Asia recently introduced the X-Beam Ratcheting Wrench. The concept comes from observing end-users and identifying some of the ergonomic issues they face when repeatedly performing a given task with hand tools. With this in mind, the company feels this new tool can help ease the pressure on technicians in producing greater comfort, ease of use and efficiency.



The X-Beam design will provide up to 500% more hand contact area, depending on the size of the wrench. Whether working with the ratcheting box-end or the open-end, the user will grasp the wider side of the wrench beam instead of a thinner handle edge, as is the case with traditionally-designed flat wrenches. The X-Beam is the first hand tool ever approved by the American Arthritis Foundation for its ease-of-use. This unique design will change the way user look at wrenches.
