Screwtech Industry Co., Ltd. began operations with two workers in February 1998. With years of strenuous development, the company has grown as a firm of 60-strong workers with production facilities in both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
The company says each of its calibers has over 10 years of experience in developing screws for such industries as electronics, computers, automobiles, and motorcycles. Two years after its inception, the company has employed the ISO9002 international quality assurance system. In October 1999, the company passed the certification of the ISO9001 standards.
In addition to accumulating professional manufacturing skill, the company has also introduced an effective systematic management method in tandem with the implementation of a strict quality-control system.
As the company zeroed in on the high-tech industry in the beginning of its operations, it is capable of controlling defect rate under the 50PPM standard.
To meet the demand of foreign customers, in June 2001 Screwtech inaugurated a new factory in Wujiang of Jiangsu Province, mainland China. The mainland factory passed the ISO9001 standards in 2002 and TS16949 standard at the end of 2006. The acquisition of the TS16949 certification has led the company to enter the production of sophisticated parts for the automobile industry.
The company says it adopts a wide range of raw materials such as medium- and low-carbon steel, alloy steel, brass, stainless steel, aluminum, and engineering plastics. The adoption of so many different materials can meet the specific industrial standards overseas.
To facilitate quick production processes, the company has built up a new plant in Kaohsiung County of southern Taiwan, where many manufacturers of fastener parts cluster. The new plant was inaugurated in October 2007.
Screwtech currently mainly sells products to Europe, the U.S. and Southeast Asia, in addition to domestic market in Taiwan.
