Jun Kaung Industries Co., Ltd. is one of the leading Taiwanese suppliers of fastening and tie systems catering to professional buyers rather than discount shops. Its product lineup includes manually-powered pullers, ratchet tie downs, trailer winches and trailer jacks.

So far, the company has sold its products to pro stores including Maasdam (U.S.), CTC (Canada), Tachibana (Japan) and Triumph Motorcycles (U.K.).

Found in 1985, the company’s quality work has been made possible by the experience of the company’s president, Charlie Hsieh, and his deputy, Dick Lai. Both executives were former material specialists at the government-backed Metal Industries Research and Development Center (MIRDC), which helps local hardware manufacturers develop new techniques and resolve technical difficulties.

Hsieh and Lai personally handle the company’s R&D, which is run on a budget of about 5-8% of the company’s total annual revenue over the past few years. They have been conducting the work in cooperation with government-backed industrial-technology organizations like MIRDC as well as academic institutions such as the National Chung Cheng University.

Thanks to quality manufacturing and design, the company has been awarded with ISO-9002, CE, TUV and GS certifications, as well as earned over 50 patents in Germany, Canada, the United States, Taiwan and mainland China. Also, the government-cited “Rising Star Award” has gone to the company.
