Taipei, March 16, 2007 (CENS)--Nanya Printed Circuit Board Corporation, a Taiwan-based supplier of printed circuit boards (PCBs), has had its high density interconnect (HDI) PCBs used in mobile phones certificated by Apple iPhone, and is scheduled to deliver the products in early April, according to company sources.

Besides, Nanya PCB is expected to land at least 30% of Apple iPhone`s global orders, benefit from increasing market demand for plasric ball grid array (PBGA) and chip scale package (CSP) boards, and enjoy return of orders for graphic cards from Nvidia. This, in turn, will help Nanya PCB`s sales revenue to grow significantly in the second quarter, the sources said.

Apple has unveiled its first handset, iPhone, and planned to launch the product in June this year, and therefore the firm`s contracted suppliers have to step up shipping relevant components and parts starting in the beginning of April. Among them, Nanya has had its HDI PCBs certificated by iPhone, and is scheduled to deliver those to Apple iPhone in April.

Based on an estimated shipment of 10 million iPhones, Nanya PCB is very likely to score 30% of orders released by Apple iPhone, contributing NT$300 to 400 million to the company`s sales revenue for this year and boosting the its profit margins in the second quarter and the third.

Since the fourth quarter of last year, the market for boards has become sluggish. However, thanks to increasing orders for conventional PCBs used in PS3, Nanya PCB enjoyed a robust monthly revenue contribution of NT$300 to 400 million by conventional PCBs, helping the firm`s single-month revenue hit a new high in the fourth quarter of last year.

In the first quarter of this year, Nanya PCB`s production lines have been almost fully booked due mainly to upcoming orders for conventional PCBs and booming market demand for PBGA and CSP boards. This makes institutional investors optimistically project Nanya PCB to score sales revenue of over NT$3 billion, even a record high at NT$3.2 billion, for March.

Nanya PCB said that with demand for flip chip boards increasing, the company projects its output of flip chip boards, especially those used for graphic chips compatible with operating system Vista, to rise in the second quarter.
